Data Scientist
EASi Engineering seeks a Data Scientist as a part of the IoT Platform solution team. The Internet of Things is ramping quickly, this is your opportunity to join an organization whose day job is the IoT.
Our team of skilled engineers and architects are busy developing and validating solutions for key IoT customers and verticals. We work with business leaders, field teams, services and partners, to develop solutions which help our customers solve critical business problems.
You will demonstrate technical knowledge of networking technologies. Your ability to write software, do data modeling and/or analytics and visualization will be highly regarded in this role. You will also have an open and engaging collaboration style with a high level of energy and initiative.
* Software background who transitioned into data analytics
* Python, java, ruby, R
* Fuzzy concepts and make them real
* Want someone who can engineer solutions, problem solving and critical thinking
o Data management: how those flows might go, how you build them?
o May need to know protocol that the data is talking through: MQTT, Mtconnect, Rest API
o Looking to extract, understand what the data represents and how it might need to be manipulated
o Using parstream: SQL like as their database and is tuned as a historian database. Mainly inserts and queries. Pull data out of sensors, store so they have it, and use business analytics to pull info out and visualize it
