About this job
Candidates for this position can expect to develop construction documents for sites of various size and complexity
Responsibilities:
-Develop plans, profiles, and details for construction documents
-Develop takeoffs for site quantities
-Collaborate with design and engineering team to ensure clear, precise, and accurate production drawings on multiple projects concurrently
-Business Development for Civil Engineering projects
- Experience developing construction drawings for land development
- Exceptional attention to detail, efficient time management skills, and ability to integrate into a team setting
- Interest in managing a staff / opportunity to become a department head as the civil team grows.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from an
accredited four-year college or university and a minimum 4 years of experience in respective engineering field is required
* Virginia PE licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire
* Civil engineering experience in the Tidewater region is preferred
* Valid Virginia driver's license
* AutoCAD - Civil 3D Experience
* Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent writing and communication skills
