Project Analyst - EPMO

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated self-starter to support a variety of functions centralized in the TJX IT Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO).

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for processing daily submissions and updates to the resource management tool (RCM)
  • Acts as the point of contact for questions and escalations related to the resource management tool (RCM).
  • Responsible for maintenance and consistent use of the EPMO SharePoint sites.
  • Partners with the Portfolio Management team to assist with their day to day operational needs
  • Assists with conducting project lessons learned session.
  • Escalates and drives resolution of issues and concerns with appropriate personnel.
  • Works with the EPMO Partners supporting their processes (as needed)
  • Recommends process improvements.
  • Partners with Project Managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan inclusive of schedules, financial estimates, resources, tasks, deliverables, project plans, project governance and budget.
  • Performs frequent reporting and analysis of financial actuals against forecasts. Provides findings and resolves discrepancies with Project Managers and IT Finance.
  • Supports Project Managers in monitoring and resolving any issues related to PO creation and/or reconciliation. Follows up with IT Finance and/or 3 rd party vendors as appropriate
  • Manages with Project Manager on deliverable signoff process. Monitors adherence to internal SOX controls and project management methodologies across the projects and/or programs to meet criteria for EPMO Stage Gate gates.
  • Plans, coordinates and monitors the logistics of IT equipment. Partners with PM to coordinate the timely onboarding/offboarding of resources with the Project Team (SDL, PM), HR/Finance, 3 rd party vendors and TJX support groups (desktop services, security, etc).
  • Identifies hardware and software requirements. Maintains and distributes hardware / software inventory levels for all service providers including disposal / decommission process. Monitors and enforces Service Level agreements.
  • Maintains vendor relationships requiring new devises; may negotiate prices, procurement and settlement.
  • Assist Project Managers with timely and effective project communications and statuses, agendas and takes minutes.
  • Proactively identifies when projects are tracking off schedule, over or under budget thresholds and out of compliance with requirements; escalates to Project Manager.
  • Makes process improvement recommendations
  • Identifies and escalates or resolves issues as necessary
  • Partners with Project Management to ensure projects are on track and within budget.
  • In technical Solution Delivery domains, assists with coordinating and low to medium project complexity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Develop knowledge of technical and process developments in the Project Management arena (EPMO guidelines, SOX compliance etc.)
Minimum Experience and Education:

1 year minimum experience as outlined below:
  • Entry Level - Graduate that demonstrates an interest in project management and has relevant intern experience.
  • Experienced Hire – relevant project administration experience on multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology, information systems, business, accounting, finance, engineering or communications or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a Project Analyst / Administrator, Junior Project Manager, Financial Analyst preferred.
