Position Summary:

The Database Marketing and Analytics group is looking for an analytics self-starter that will work with TJX's North American e-commerce and marketing teams and media agency to develop a deep understanding of our e-commerce customers across all aspects of their journey. The Senior Analyst will support multi-channel customer marketing programs and provide insights, analysis and recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness. He/she will collaborate across analytics, brand and e-Commerce teams to optimize digital marketing programs (email, online, mobile, social & loyalty programs) to enhance the customer experience and drive profitable incremental sales. As a proactive, business partner, this person will clearly display and articulate actionable insights to influence data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze e-commerce customer behavior and patterns to optimize customer engagement strategies.
  • Synthesize data, uncover insights and create compelling data visualizations from multiple sources to tell a story and influence business actions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing actions, recommend segmentation approaches and deliver actionable insights to improve customer engagement and lifetime value.
  • Develop and implement test designs that serve as champion and challenger for marketing and e-Commerce programs.
  • Work with TJX brand and e-Commerce teams to develop analysis and reporting focused on performance metrics around the lifecycle of new and existing e-Commerce customers.
  • Work with e-Commerce and Email Marketing managers to deliver insights which will maximize customer onboarding, cross-sell, up-sell and retention opportunities.
  • Help develop analytics that improve targeting, segmentation, deliverable, open, click, purchase and unsubscribe rates.
  • Responsible for leading initiatives that will increase marketable universe, improve KPI’s and create customer analysis that measure customer performance.
  • Develop digital campaign response analysis including determining sales, lift & ROI associated with each program.
  • Help identify customer segments with the greatest potential for e-commerce revenue growth.
  • Act as a liaison with internal business partners (IT, .com, loyalty) and outside vendors (global database, email service provider, media agency) to ensure timely/accurate delivery of analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative field.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in an eCommerce retail business or media agency (preferable mixed online/bricks-and-mortar) with a track record of delivering actionable customer insights and marketing effectiveness analysis.
  • Proficiency working with large datasets to extract, manipulate and analyze customer performance using business intelligence tools such as SQL (required), Cognos, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in digital media measurement and leveraging attribution models with exposure to Omniture, Google Analytics, Adobe Test and Target preferred.
  • Curious, self-motivated thinker; always asks why and strives until the answer is clear.
  • Strong oral and written communicator with demonstrated experience translating analytics findings into business insights and influencing business stakeholders to drive action and optimize business performance.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex projects in a collaborative deadline-driven environment.
  • High degree of proficiency in PC applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with digital tagging, measurement, and tracking tools and providers, such as Doubleclick, Atlas, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Omniture, Facebook Business Manager, etc. preferred.
