Auto Door Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary:

Provide a safe working environment for all employees and customers in our stores while maintaining equipment. Responsible for communicating with supervisors, associates and vendors. Essential Job Functions:

• Automatic entrance systems service calls at many store locations.
• Participate in a service 'on call' rotation for 24 hour response.
• Energy Maintenance/Equipment controls management.
• Preventative maintenance program.
• Parts and equipment management.
• Assistance in servicing all types of store equipment.
• Provide service to the store operations by keeping store equipment in a proper operating condition that enables the customer to be served.
• Keeping equipment operational in safe conditions and providing safe use of the equipment by employee's and customers.
• Keep a high level of efficiency through skills training and effective call management skills.
• Run service calls to multiple store locations using Kroger owned service vehicle.
• Equipment to be serviced includes, but not limited to: automatic entrance systems, slider doors, swing doors and other misc types. Assists in other repairs as needed.
• Participate in a preventative maintenance program that will include documentation and repair of equipment on a scheduled program.
• Participate in an 'on call' rotation that provides service to the store group 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Prior experience on electrical/mechanical equipment and knowledge general troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic level of personal computer operation skills.
• High level of electrical/mechanical skills and experience with all equipment currently being serviced.
• Ability to have flexibility in schedule.
• The associate will need to be organized and have good computer skills.

• Must have the physical ability to climb ladders, remove door panels that weigh 150-300 pounds(with some assistance from others), and perform work overhead about 75% of the time
