365 Days year - 24/7 Operation
Starting Hourly Rate 15.00 – 22.00
Full Time position in our Production/Shipping Department.
Bakery Express Mid-Atlantic, Inc. is a large manufacturing facility of sweet goods serving a convenience store chain and national distributers.
Summary of Job:
Assist Departmental Managers by directing and managing all associate activities.
Participate in daily production of product and orders.
Responsibilities:
* Assist, train and development of associates in sanitation, product production, finishing packaging and distribution of sweet goods.
* Implement policies and procedures. Take corrective action when necessary.
* Oversee the baking, frying, packing and distribution of product to ensure company and customer specifications are met.
* Maintain an effective housekeeping program. Ensure compliance with all company policies that relate to the safety of associates, food safety, cleanliness and sanitation. Maintain and ensure compliance with local, state and government weights and measures and health department regulations.
* Performs duties of staff as required, insuring that all positions in the bakery are covered on a daily basis.

Knowledge Skills:
Good leadership skills with friendly, outgoing attitude.
Strong communication skill.
Ability to read and interpret various reports.
Excel and Word experience and knowledge a plus.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the food/beverage manufacturing arena with SQF, GMP,SOP, Hazcom./MSDS knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting and carrying over 50lbs.
Operating equipment.
Mixers, Ovens, Conveyors, Fryers, Forklift, Power Jack, Box Erectors, Cake Press,
Bending, reaching and grasping.
Use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
