Kum & Go is searching for a Compensation Analyst that will provide support and administration of company-wide compensation and total rewards programs. These efforts, in turn, support and impact the organization’s overall Total Rewards initiatives and philosophy.

The Compensation Analyst will play a key role in supporting store compensation plans, structures, and projects, as well as the general day-to-day support of compensation questions. This position will perform market research, conduct job evaluations, assist with salary recommendations and store wage reviews, provide compensation support in reorganization decisions, and maintain salary structures. Analytical support will be administered through various compensation programs, including merit, mid-year review, and incentive plans at both the store and corporate levels. This position will also provide support for new program implementation, system changes, communications, audits, and other various projects. Success in this role includes a high degree of detail as this individual collects, analyzes, and reports data, compliance, and data integrity.

What you’ll do

  • Complete daily compensation tasks within the Workday system, review compensation reports for accuracy each payroll week, and act as a key resource for compensation questions and matters, providing guidance and support to the Human Resources team, hiring managers, and leadership team. This role will also be a key contact for store compensation matters.
  • Provide analytical support for the design and administration of various types of compensation programs including merit and variable pay plans. This includes creating letters, statements, and reports for the various compensation programs. This individual will also administer the store merit processes, including testing and reporting, as well as execute the quarterly bonus payment process for the store managers.
  • Perform market research, conduct job evaluations, and maintain our store pay ranges. In addition, this role reviews store compensation ranges regularly and participates in formalizing processes and timelines for process consistency. This individual will also be participating in salary surveys and maintaining the MarketPay system.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards leader and Business Partners to make on store hiring offers, promotions, demotions, and transfers. This person will prepare compensation/job change statements for HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and Managers, as well as other communications, as needed.
  • Assist with ad hoc research or analyses for Total Rewards projects.

Other key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required
  • Two years of experience in a Compensation role or 3+ years in a combination of Compensation and/or Total Rewards roles
