Job Overview:

As a Marketing Experimentation Analyst on the Decision Sciences team, you will work with a world-class multidisciplinary team to deploy A/B testing capabilities, help develop multivariate testing programs, validate the results of marketing mix models using test and learn methods, and conduct time series analyses, as well as extract/transform Big Data.

There will be collaboration with both internal clients and technology partners. You need to be able to multi-task through stages of multiple projects and be able to deliver quality insights and impactful recommendations on a regular basis to drive business decisions and business growth. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct A/B tests and designing and analyzing experiments to measure and validate the effects of key marketing channels.
• Help deploy test and learn strategies to measure the incremental impact of traditional media and online marketing tactics on sales.
• Work with senior members of the team to provide technical support for the continued development of Macy’s best-in-class experimentation methodologies.
• Prepare data sets to be used in time series regression models and marketing mix models.
• Support the building of time series models to forecast future daily sales.
• Interface with internal clients to facilitate knowledge discovery.
• Provide clients and management timely status reporting and testing plans.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of work experience, or recent graduate degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics.
• Experience with SQL or SAS.

Communication Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Reasoning Ability:

• Excellent multitasking ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet both scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves regular sitting, hearing and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Involves use of hands and fingers for typing on keyboard and using a mouse.
• May be a need to move or lift items under 10 pounds

Other Skills:

• Solid knowledge of statistics and inferential statistics.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
• Up to 5% travel – Offices Onshore and Offshore, Conferences – up to 4x a yr.
