Sweeper - Full-time / Part-time

Racine/Kenosha area manufacturer is in need of a Service Department Sweeper (material handler).

 

For over 90 years, this contract manufacturer of medium to heavy gauge metal components has grown to over 150 employees. These manufactured parts are used for transmissions, brakes, or engines (jet or diesel) for trucks, tractors, construction equipment, military tanks, and aircraft engines.  Quality standards are set high because the parts are used in the critical internal assemblies of the products.

 

General duties for the Sweeper include:

         Sort Parts

         Parts Washer

         Sweeper

         Forklift operator

 

Requirements for the Service Department Sweeper include:

         Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

         Ability to stand for eight hours a day

         Ability to pick up, up to, 65 pounds frequently for eight hours a day

         Ability to pick up and move parts up to 20 pounds apiece continuously for eight hours a day

         Ability to perform physical, manual labor for eight hours a day

         Ability to work independently

         Ability to communicate effectively to co-workers and supervisory personnel clearly and concisely

         Fork lift experience a plus

         Ability to speak and read English

 

The Service Department Sweeper position will train on 1st shift for the first 90 days, after 90 days it may transfer to an off shift.

Starting hourly rate is between $11.59 - $13.06 per hour plus rate incentive work.
