About the team
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has an
established and dedicated team of teaching and research staff who
engage in a multidisciplinary approach to provide pathways to
incorporate mathematics and statistics into undergraduate and
postgraduate studies and research. The department provides a focus
for mathematical research and research training in the areas of
group theory, combinatorics and computation, to give mathematics
the increased visibility it deserves. Our program of teaching and
research covers the broad fields of applied mathematics, pure
mathematics and statistics.
About the opportunity
Applications are invited for the Professor of
Statistics and Data Science in the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics at The University of Western Australia. The position
calls for an outstanding strong academic leader with in-depth
knowledge and extensive experience in statistics who has a clear
vision of how statistics contributes to data science.
You will be working in a region abundant with
potential industry partners, where you will seek to establish and
maintain strategic partnerships with external
stakeholders.
