Breakfast Cook - Part-time

General Description: Responsible for providing a tasty, satisfying and nutritious meal for 130-200 guests, and readying the kitchen for the next day's meal. This is a part-time position Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day beginning at 6:30 a.m. Reports to: Breakfast Coordinator   Skills: Ability to cook a variety of foods for large groups Familiarity with and ability to practice safe food handling procedures Experience in an industrial kitchen Ability to work with others Flexibility Dependability Able to follow directions well Good organizational skills Experience working in a fast paced environment Understanding and commitment to The Gathering's mission and its work as a volunteer-based organization   Duties: Begin breakfast preparation and cooking weekday mornings at 6:30 a.m. Meet daily with Breakfast Coordinator to finalize that day's menu and prepare for the next day's menu. Work with volunteers to prepare meal. Oversee kitchen during mealtime. Set up meal for breakfast volunteers following. Oversee kitchen cleanup. Ready the kitchen for the next day's meal.
