Corrections Officers are responsible for the safety and security of inmates housed in Butler County Sheriff's Office correctional facilities. Each officer manages the day-to-day activities of the inmates within their assigned dorm/block, maintains a safe living environment for inmates, and may be called upon to assist with inmate intakes/releases. Each new officer will receive 160 hours of training with an experienced officer. Within the first year of hire, the officer will be required to complete the Basic Corrections Officer Training. A peace officer certification from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission is not required. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment.
