Open Position Available
Director of Hospital Pharmacy Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all pharmaceuticals dispensed. Supervises drug storage and preparation areas within the pharmacy. Supervises all pharmacy personnel. Helps conduct inspections of all areas where medications are dispensed, administered or stored. Maintains strict controls and accountability for medications dispensed to patients. Submits patient charges and other reports to the hospital. Maintains all records in accordance with current state and federal requirements. Provides pharmacokinetic consultation when requested. Maintains strict accountability on all controlled substances as well as all other inventory. Operates and maintains pharmacy computer system. Maintains a positive relationship with the medical staff and other departments.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Licensed to practice andmeets all legal requirements to practice pharmacy in Iowa.
Experience: Two (2) years previous experience is preferred but not required.
