Transfer opportunities to other departments or other locations throughout the US. • Cell Phone and Other Discounts • Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay • Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k Plan Responsibilities: • Schedule and direct personnel and resources in order to ensure quality, cost effective service • Hire, train, and monitor employee performance to customer and safety standards. • Effectively monitor irrigation systems to identify problems and necessary repairs • Effectively monitor plant and turf grass vigor and identify insect or disease problems • Responsible for proper maintenance, storage, and use of equipment • Assist in estimating and budgeting. Order materials and monitor costs/deliveries The ideal candidate will possess: • College degree in Horticulture, Landscape Contracting or related major preferred but not required • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on landscaping field experience with a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience • Proficiency in use of landscape and irrigation equipment and ability to read landscape plans • Solid knowledge of plant material, diseases and insects, chemical spray and irrigation principles • Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive working relationships with crew and customers projecting a professional demeanor • Experience in contracting and budgeting/expense control. • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is preferred • Valid drivers license and good driving record required If you have high energy, strong attention to detail, and enjoy working with the public, please apply today!
