About this job

Directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements. Responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination, and management of the PMO processes and functions. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Serves as a conduit for communication between project managers and the executives who make strategic decisions for those projects.

Responsibilities
• Lead all PMO related work activities
• Define and enforce the project management process, standards, deliverables and operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution.
• Define and lead a process for establishing, enabling and maintaining standard process and procedures throughout the company across multiple functional areas
• Development of Project Managers via skills building and certifications as necessary
• Communicate program and project status to senior executives. Identify risk and additional reward opportunities.
• Develop and monitor project performance metrics. Steward results back to company leadership.

Requirements

Job Requirements
Required
* Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods / Consumer Packaged Goods industry
* Previous Project Management experience
* Previous Program Management experience. Looking for an individual able to manage a broad portfolio of projects being conducted by PMs across multiple functions.
* Formal Project Management training
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification required
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, engineering or a related discipline
* Broad leadership experience. Ability to lead through influence and across extended geographies is a must.
* Experience in Change Management, specifically successfully implementing new business processes across business boundaries.

* Previous success leading a Project Management Office
* Lean/Six Sigma certifications (Green acceptable, Black desired)
* Master's degree in computer science, business, engineering or a related discipline
