We specialize in home-based counseling, crisis stabilization, intensive in-home counseling, mental health skill-building, school-based treatment, and outpatient counseling. We are currently seeking several Part-Time and Full-Time Mental Health Community Counselors and Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselors for our Woodstock, VA office. The Mental Health Community Counselor plays a key role in providing excellent care to those suffering from mental illnesses (and their families). National Counseling group will be conducting onsite interviews in our Woodstock Office on March 27. What we'll expect from a Community Counselor: Provide direct clinical services to clients, including individual, family, group and issue-specific/educational groups (parenting skills, anger management, substance abuse interventions); services are provided primarily in the home and communityAssess clients' needs through interviews and observations, develop treatment plans, and make referrals as needed to the appropriate servicesCollaborate with the treatment and support team to include co-workers, therapists, social workers, case managers, and other providers and professionalsRespond to crisis situations as they arise; provide counseling and treatmentDocument case activities for both clinical and billing purposesPartner with Clinical Supervisor to increase the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions What we'll expect from a Therapeutic Day Treatement Counselor: Prepares a written treatment plan, incorporating input from clients, school personnel and involved service providers that clearly identifies problem areas and needs, strategies, and counseling objectives. Provides direct counseling services to clients at school and in the community, including individual, family, and group.  Specific group and psycho-educational activities may include such topics as anger management, substance abuse and life skills. Provides on-site crisis/behavior intervention and responds to crisis situations with twenty-four hour availability outside of school hours. Provides home and community visits to hold family sessions. Documents case activities for both clinical and billing purposes.
