Concessions Cashier

Concessions Cashier Job Summary: Inputs guest's orders in micros and collects payment for the goods utilizing cash and credit card transactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Processes and communicates guest orders (to prep cooks and bartenders) finalizing payment through cash and credit card transactions.Redeems gift certificates and coupons as payment for transaction.Checks guests for proper wristbands when alcohol is included in the transaction.Initiates and completes sales transaction in a courteous and timely manner.Identifies and resolves order discrepancies with minimal disruption to operation and guest satisfaction.Reconciles cash and credit card transactions.Exhibits initiative and ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of cash register, calculator, currency and credit card transactions.Knowledge and compliance with all food and beverage, health, liquor and safety regulations per local applicable laws.Skill in working courteously with the public as well as developing and maintaining good working relationships.Must be able to stand at least eight (8) hours at a time.Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds at one time with or without reasonable accommodations.Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.Ability to interpret spoken communication and communicate orally.Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural manuals.Must present a clean, well-groomed appearance.Ability to work in a smoking environment. Minimum Qualifications: Six (6) months money handling experience in a guest service position.Must be at least 19 years of age.Demonstrated track record of providing quality guest service(s).Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events and overtime, as needed.Must have or be able to obtain valid Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications within ninety (90) days of employment.Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid non-gaming license.
