Scandinavian Designs is a home furnishings destination rooted in our love for modern design and quality craftsmanship and we are looking for a part-time Sales and Service Assistant in our Rocklin, CA location. Our Assistants are passionate about design and quality products and are committed to providing exceptional service. We are looking for someone who will be able to work evenings and weekends.

Sales and Service Assistants are proficient in all aspects of the retail operation and are responsible for designated administrative and operational duties as well as providing excellent customer service on the sales floor. Our Assistants are versatile and active professionals who work across roles, as part of a team in the showroom, office and warehouse - anywhere their efforts are needed. Sales and Service Assistants typically perform daily accounting, recording keeping and other duties including entering biweekly payroll. All of our positions are required to uphold our principles of value, quality and design.
  • Greet our clients and answer our phones in a prompt, professional and polite manner as part of our team.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone.
  • Exemplify a team approach and be open and honest in communication and help others when they need assistance.
  • Understand and adhere to our company policy and procedures.
  • Process sales transactions, service orders and refunds accurately and promptly; keep work organized.
  • Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise and help maintain displays and a clean and orderly showroom and backroom.
  • Assist in daily opening or closing procedures for store consistent with policy and procedure.
  • Reconcile Daily Transaction Listing and other daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • As designated, process biweekly payroll ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures in accord with local, state and federal laws.
  • Keep accurate payroll, PTO and absence records for each team member.
  • Balance daily cash and other media receipts. Make bank deposits and ensures store has sufficient change.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent GED, plus 2-5 years related experience
  • 18 years or older and possess/maintain a valid Drivers License in the locations state.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in administrative duties, basic book keeping and/or accounting.
  • Able to read and understand work orders, shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Strong computer skills, 10 Key with accuracy.
  • Very organized and detail oriented.
  • Able to successfully complete our pre-employment background and drug screenings.
