Summary

Insure a high quality of service for our external and internal customer with dignity, respect and distinction for his/her co-workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort in a positive manner.

Manage assigned staff throughout daily operations.

Insure adherence and enforcement of all safety and sanitation policies.

Train staff and maintain all MSDS sheets.

Setup all banquet equipment as assigned and attend all BEO meetings.

Basic knowledge of dish machines including operation, maintenance and trouble shooting.

Maintain dish machines and manage cleaning and de-liming schedules.

Insure all Steward areas are maintained to standards.

Maintain Back of the House cleaning schedules per shift requirements.

Manage all chemical and cleaning supplies as instructed.

Daily interaction with all departmental managers providing support when required.

Provide daily management all refuse and recycling programs.

Maintain and operate silver burnishing machine as required.

Manage all superficial and deep cleaning projects as required.

Insure all kitchens and outlets possess required operational equipment.

Attend meetings as scheduled.

Assist Executive Steward and Assistant Steward personnel and administrative issues/duties.

Familiarity with all outlets and the Casino Resort in general.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 12-20 employees in the Stewarding. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

1 year as Steward supervisor in a large restaurant or hotel with banquet function experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year of college preferred. Bilingual a plus.

Age Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
