Our Team. The Brand Talent team is a group of strategists who consult on and deliver brand-specific talent and culture solutions that help our 30 unique brands to build and activate their brand identity and fulfill differentiated service propositions. As a result, our work ensures ongoing brand health and guest satisfaction. We serve as business partners to our brands and are typically the first/central point of contact in identifying potential brand-specific talent and culture solutions, to then serve as a liaison between the brands and the HR organization.

Position Overview. The Senior Manager of HR Brand Talent Consulting works with brand representatives within the business to develop and execute plans that support critical brand needs as they relate to HR initiatives. This position will focus on brands within our portfolio that fall in the Premium/Select segments. The Senior Manager must maintain a key focus on driving human resources-related aspects of initiatives aligned with brand and consumer strategies. Core responsibilities include providing HR consultation to the brand and delivering brand-initiatives; managing brand-specific work; acting as a project manager on brand-specific projects and initiatives; and monitoring efforts designed to fulfill those needs.

 

On a day to day basis, this position will be engaged in:

 
Strategic Business Consulting
  • Partners with stakeholders to determine HR business opportunities and challenges and provide business plans and tactics that align and support the brand strategies.
  • Translates brand needs into specific, relevant HR support activities.
  • Contributes to development of unique, engaging and innovative brand HR strategies and standards as appropriate in partnership with HR and brand stakeholders.
 
Managing HR Brand Work
  • Partners with brand and HR stakeholders to scope projects and activities, including time and cost estimates.
  • Determines if prior efforts can be leveraged to build efficiencies and take advantage of best practices.
  • Develops new (and/or leverages existing) tactics, and implements tactics and standardized processes that support and facilitate effective management of HR brand work.
  • Works in close partnership and collaboratively with other team members to ensure coordination, alignment and pull through across HR work areas (e.g., continents, COEs).
 
Managing Projects and Initiatives
  • Oversees the effective design and development for HR components of programs (e.g., Service Initiatives).
  • Gains alignment across HR and brand stakeholders and others as appropriate (e.g., continent HR leadership, legal).
  • Partners with relevant HR departments to bring the right resources together to address the organization’s needs.
  • Supports global brand execution of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning, and Organizational Capability programs/initiatives.
 

Candidate Profile. A 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years’ experience in human resources or related professional area, OR MBA degree from an accredited university; 2 years’ experience in human resources or related professional area is required.

 
We will give strong preference to candidates with:
  • Lodging/hospitality industry knowledge, including support of Premium Consumer Brands
  • Human resources or hotel operations experience

Managing Execution. The Brand Talent team blends consulting and hands-on delivery of project deliverables which requires this individual to exhibit the following traits:

  • Driving for Results - Sets high standards of performance for self and/or others; assumes responsibility for work objectives; initiates, focuses, and monitors the efforts of self and/or others toward the accomplishment goals; proactively takes action and goes beyond what is required.
  • Planning and Organizing - Gathers information and resources required to set a plan of action for self and/or others; prioritizes and arranges work requirements to accomplish goals and ensure work is completed.
 

Building Relationships. As the Brand Talent team sits between the brands and the HR organization, establishing and maintaining effective relationships is critical. Competencies in support of this includes:
