Job Description:

Position Description & Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would understand how to create an incredible first impression as the face of this beautiful, unique property. While checking in, registering and assigning rooms to guests, the Night Auditor would be a source of knowledge for the guest relative to the hotel, its amenities and nearby dining, entertainment and shopping. In addition, the Night Auditor would be equally adept at handling phone calls, especially while being observed by quests in the lobby, would be able to politely address the needs of both guests in an appropriate and professional manner. Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to take detailed phone messages is essential to our guests as is answering questions and providing travel directions over the phone and in person. An understanding of the need for accuracy in posting charges to the ledger, computing guests bills, handling questions and making adjustments regarding such bills as well as, of course, collecting payment from guests is key to this position. As Front Desk Agent, you will be the first and one of the last faces the guest sees so your ability to create and maintain a positive impression will truly set the hotel apart and lead to the return visit. In addition, operational focus will include working in total partnership with all team members from bellstaff to valet through to housekeeping with the goal of delivering flawless service to one another and our guests.

Formal Education and Job Related Requirements

Our preference would be that the candidate would previous hotel experience.  In addition, we would like candidate to have an Associates (A.A.) degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school with one years' employment in hospitality and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and employment experience in hospitality. Must possess effective communications skills. Additional requirements: Prior guest service experience critical. Previous cash handling experience strongly preferred. Must be willing and able to work third shift.

Job-Related Physical Requirements

This position requires the employee to engage in Constant Standing, Walking, Bending Over, and Hearing. In addition, the position requires the employee to utilize Color Recognition.

 Further, the position requires Occasional Sitting, Reaching, Crouching, Lifting/Carrying up to 25lbs, Near Vision, and Far Vision.

The position involves the following Environmental Factors:  Working Inside, Working Closely with Others, and Working Above Ground.
