About this job

Aerotek/EASi are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer within an assembly area of a large manufacturing operation.

What you will be doing:

1. Day to day manufacturing engineering activities on the shop floor including process improvement projects, maintaining quality, driving efficiency and safety.

2. Using manufacturing/assembly engineering systems to monitor and improve processes for quality, part tracking and inventory.

3. Monitor continuous improvement cards/board to determine whether projects and recommendations should be taken on or passed up.

4. Work with assembly personnel to improve processes and increase output.

5. Partner with engineering supervision and management to determine opportunities for larger process improvement projects.

What you will need:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) preferred. Other technical degrees in Engineering or Industrial Technology highly considered.

2. Experience or exposure to assembly operations within a manufacturing environment.

3. Working knowledge of CAD and/or other engineering systems and databases used for part tracking, quality documentation, output.

4. Knowledge of continuous improvement and participation in projects related to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, process improvement, Kaizen, etc.

5. Experience working with shop floor personnel in a manufacturing setting.
