About this job

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of this position is to maintain inventory levels and gather material for our customer. This individual will also distribute raw materials and supplies, as well as package material in a way that is neat, secure and without error.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:


* Possess basic computer skills and confirm orders through SAP system
* Visually inspect lots per quality standards
* Use and maintain forklift and other material handler equipment
* Package material neatly and securely and operate strapping tool for banding shipments
* Operate stretch film machine for shipment
* Prepare appropriate paperwork, create bar codes labels for customer shipment
* Read and pull ship routers per part number and customer
* Interpret and respond to shipment reports
* Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories by part number and batches
* Demonstrate ability to use plant SAP R/3 System by:
o Receiving and transferring material
o Posting shipments and sending ASN's
* Receive all incoming material and manage material movement on line
* Identify, tag, and place material on shelf or drop zone
* Rotate stock first in first out
* Organize inventory area and maintain safe and clean working environment
* Use scale to preform weight counts
* Preform cycle counts
* Responsible for all material movements on the Production and Assembly lines
* Responsible for unboxing and carting material for Production use
* Responsible for boxing outsourced gears
* Responsible for picking outbound shipments, including banding, packing, wrapping, and labeling
* Responsible for re-packing Assembly components into bins
* May also assist in receiving/ storing Tool and Maintenance crib items
* Any other task assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:


* Certified Fork Lift Operator
* Good oral / written communication skills
* Must be a self-starter and self-motivated individual
* Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail
* Must be computer literate in Word and Excel
* Ability to use RF scanners
* Valid Driver's license

ON THE JOB EXPERIENCE:


* Two years of experience working in a warehouse environment and maintaining warehouse inventory
* Computer literacy a must and experience with the SAP system preferred
