CNC Mill Gantry Set up & Operate Machinist 3rd shift

Gantry experience is a plus
3-5 axis machines
950 Cincinnati controls
840 Seimen controls


 Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
 Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
 Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
 Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
 Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
 Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines materials, parts, and equipment required.
 Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.
 Work with all floor supervisors and leadmen making every effort to maintain all production schedules.
 Work with quality control personnel concerning his/her particular part or job to maintain the highest quality assurance possible.
 Work with maintenance personnel to maintain peak performance of any machine he/she may be operating.
 Work with floor helpers to maintain production flow on or off machine and to assure safety habits.
 Other duties may be assigned.
