A large, and growing, furniture dealership in Philadelphia is looking to expand their team! They are opening up an office in center city and would like to add both a Lead Designer and Junior Designer to join their team in full-time, permanent roles!

Qualifications:

  • BS in Interior Design
  • 2+ Years of Professional Interior Design Experience
  • Commercial Furniture Experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

Job Description:

Programming:

  • Identify and analyze the client's needs
    1. Analyze design objectives and spatial requirements
    2. Determine scope of work
    3. Determine workstation furniture systems
    4. Evaluate existing documentation conditions

Conceptual Design / Design Development:

  • Formulate for client discussion and approval plans and design concepts that are appropriate
    1. Space planning
    2. Meet with other internal personnel to interpret and review clients' needs
    3. Develop workstation typicals and apply to space plan
    4. Review layout with client
    5. Prepare final drawings
    6. Assist in finish selections
    7. Assist in selection of free-standing furniture

Furniture Specification:

  • Prepare systems furniture and free-standing furniture proposal for sign-off
    1. Determine proper furniture specifications
    2. Prepare all special requests
    3. Apply all approved finish selections
    4. Develop product list
    5. Apply all existing inventory to project

Installation Documentation:

  • Prepare working drawings for systems furniture installation
    1. Develop take-off based on clusters
    2. Verify all furniture specifications
    3. Prepare AutoCAD drawings
    4. Coordinate all electrical information to appropriate trades
    5. Visit site
    6. Address all issues in a timely manner
