About this job
This company manufactures o-rings for a variety of different industries (oil field and semiconductors mainly). This person will be cross trained to work in the clean room, as well as outside the clean room. Candidates must have the ability to read drawings, understand tolerances & diameter.
They will be responsible for documentation, inspection, processing parts, and quality control. As well as the following:
1. Must be able to read work instructions, work orders & written instructions.
2. Set up & finish trim parts on appropriate equipment which includes: knife, trimmer, buffer, air mac, open trim, knife trim, lathe, etc.
3. Load & unload ovens.
4. Final inspection of parts using gauges & micrometers as necessary.
5. Follow all SPC procedures.
6. Rework parts as necessary.
7. In process, trim & inspect as required (line pull).
8. Record daily activities.
9. Ability to work in positions requiring frequent pushing, grasping & repetitive movement.
10. Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring occasional pulling, twisting, & reaching.
11. Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as: Eye Protection, Protective Gloves, Ear Protection
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pull flash, cut vents & count parts.
2. Rinse & bag parts as required.
3. Transport work in process & finished goods within & between departments as necessary.
4. Perform miscellaneous duties in the work area as assigned.
If they are assigned to P&P (Purification & Packaging) they must have strong organization skills. They will be cleaning parts after inspection and package them for the warehouse. This is very detailed and a critical role to the quality of the product going to the client. They want self starters, since they will be working independently.
