Digital Utility Locator

The largest utility locating company in the United States is looking to add a team of Digital Utility Locators to their team.

Job Summary:
These individuals will be working on the Digital Location Team. When a utility locate is requested a "ticket" or order is created ("call before you dig"). The ticket will initially go to the Digital Locate team for research. These individuals will look at blueprints, enter location coordinates into mapping applications (like Google Maps), and utilize internal databases to determine if the team needs to send a Field Technician to the site. If these individuals determine that a Field Technician is not needed to locate utilities, then the ticket will be cleared out and the excavation can start.

Job Requirements:
-Must have the desire to do well and do a good job
-Basic understanding of utilities (there are utilities located underground--fiber, cable, water lines, sewer lines etc.)
-Basic understanding of "call before you dig"
-Analytical and Detailed Oriented
-Excellent Computer Skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Maps, Databases, toggling screens, etc)
-Strong communication and organizational skills (multi-tasking)
-Good decision-making skills (ability to work independently and make decisions)

Additional Information:


Outside of quarterly pay increases, they promote from within. A person can move into Lead or Supervisor position down the road.
Shift:
Monday-Friday (10PM-7PM), but candidates need to be able to work until 7:30-8:00PM. 40 hours per week + OT.
