About this job

Our client is a pre-cast concrete company that makes large concrete forms for structures such as parking garages, grocery stores, apartment buildings. They make these forms and then ship them out to construction sites once they are manufactured. Once the forms are shipped, the companies part of the job is complete. They DO NOT construct the actual parking garage or structure, just make the concrete forms that a General Contractor would use to build a structure. Job Duties are as follows:

- 60% of the time will be spent doing construction labor duties to build the steel/wooden frames (or "molds"), based on Blueprints, that the concrete will be poured into (i.e. using hand tools to help the carpenters build the wooden frames the concrete is being poured into, assisting in installing the Rebar frames that are part of the wooden form prior to concrete pouring, etc.). Candidates will be responsible for grabbing sheets of mesh (100 pounds sometimes which is a 2 person job), rebar, wires, and nuts and bolts and bring to the station for form building.
- 40% of the time will be spent conducting miscellaneous general labor duties (i.e. sweeping, cleaning off wooden forms to prep for next pour, assisting in helping getting the plant up and running for more and more production (only have 1 production line functioning so far)).
-Blueprints are given for each job with measurements and what needs to get done (candidate ideally has Blueprint experience but it is not a must have skill to get the job.).
- Once Concrete wooden/steel forms (or molds) are built, concrete will be driven over within the plant and poured into the form. Then these laborers will be responsible for smoothing out the concrete using brooms.

General construction skills that will be used to get the job done: DRILLING, TAPPING, SCREWING MATERIAL, GRINDING, PULLING WIRE THROUGH PANEL, WIRE TYING
