QC Lab Technician - Full-time / Part-time

The lab technician is responsible for a variety of routine and non-routine laboratory operations. Duties consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures, researching technical literature and evaluating previous processes. Will perform the following wet chemistry testing methods:
- pH
- Specific gravity
- Viscosity
- Auto-Titration
- Basic acid / base reactions
- Blend formulations in small-scale reactions
- Perform basic calculations such as conversions, dilution factors, and scale up from small scale to large scale

This is a 3rd shift working from 10PM to 6:30AM and some weekends

- Bachelors/Associates degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Food Science.
- 2+ years Laboratory Technician experience.
- HPLC, GC, FTIR or other instrument training
- Knowledge of QC practices and quality assurance tools
- Familiarity and experience with ISO-9001 certification, and experience working in FDA or GMP regulated facility.
- Experience in the specialty chemical industry or related industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, or health and hygiene products.
