Maintenance Technician

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Mid Level HVAC technician who has experience with VAV boxes, Autoclaves, Freezers, and Instrumentation.
- Able to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair and over-haul electrical and mechanical equipment as identified or as directed by Maintenance Manager/Lead or Engineering Manager.
- Make recommendations for specifications for new/replacement elements, equipment or process improvements.
- Maintain equipment, including but not limited to cleaning, calibration, and/or resisting.
- Enter repair information into the maintenance SAP work order system.
- Request and logs repair parts from inventory clerk.
- Maintain equipment, including but not limited to cleaning, calibration, and/or resisting.
- Troubleshooting electrical systems, component elements, PLC systems, and equipment in a manufacturing environment/complex as a whole.
- Perform all duties with a high level of proficiency.
- Comply with site, processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which this role participates.
Candidate must be able to perform essential functions of the job including but not limited to lifting up to 55 lbs., operating forklifts, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms and in confined areas. Employee must be able to wear personnel protective equipment while performing essential functions of the job, including but not limited to hard hat, safety toe work boots, safety glasses/goggles, protective clothing and respiratory protection. Candidates with previous forklift and chemical plant experience are preferred.
Candidate must be able to work off-shift and weekends as needed.
