Machine Operator

One of our clients located in the Hauppauge area are seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift to assist in the Machine Shop. This person will be transporting and loading metal materials into machines that will cut/bend them into parts. This person will be operating a machine that fabricates metal and make sure products are cut correctly to customer specification/blueprints. They will also be required to read a computer screen and then attach the correct drill bit to the machine so it can cut the product. On a day to day basis, this candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Fabricating
* Reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches
* Interpreting measurements
* Alter dimensions to fit specifications
* Report errors in product line

This position is Monday to Friday and 1st shift. Candidates must be flexible to working overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years experience working in a Machine Shop environment
• Ability to use tape measure, punch press, counter sinks, jigsaws, band saws
• Seeks guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities and duties
• Exhibit good time management skills that result in effectively completed duties
