Construction Technician

Aerotek is currently hiring a construction technician.

This self-motivated and responsible individual will perform quality control testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials at construction sites. Must be ok with working outside. Must have high school diploma, reliable transportation and enjoy working outside. Experience is preferred but we will train fast learners. Successful applicants should have good written and verbal communications skills. Must be available for overtime and weekend work as-needed. The candidates will drive to construction sites and take samples of either soil or concrete and place them in cylinders that will then be tested onsite and in the lab. Report writing will be involved as well.

Requirements:
At least 1 year of material testing experience OR four year degree in environmental or geology OR some experience in a construction setting and working outdoors.
Valid drivers license
