About this job
This is a brand new job opening because of a plant expansion.
Pay scale:
After 90 days completed: $17.50/hour
Completed 1 year: $18.50/hour
Completed 2 years: $19.50/hour
Completed 3 years: $20.50/hour
Completed 4 years: $21.50/hour
Duties:
- Set up and operate machines including fillers, labeling machines, and case packer
- Read machine work orders to determine set ups
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments including machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.
- Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of products.
- Check to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.
- Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval to continue production.
- Break down machines for cleaning and perform full sanitation of equipment with proper cleaning chemicals
- Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or cleaning solutions
- Perform line change overs
- Perform quality inspections including temperature and consistency checks
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- 1 year machine operating experience in a high-speed production environment
- 1 year set up and troubleshooting experience required
- 1 year quality inspection experience required
- 1 year in a food manufacturing environment
