High Power Test Technician - Full-time / Part-time

The client is in need of a Test Technician to work with Test Engineers and customers to execute and document test programs for their products. Customers include: CAT, John Deere, Ford, GM, Mazda, Seadooo and many others. They're also working on electrical assemblies for the Tesla and Volt. This lab supports the US and international locations.

Responsibilities:
- review test plans/test procedures for accuracy and preparation
- set testing time lines (start/finish dates) and schedule equipment for all tests
- perform mechanical, electrical and environmental tests
- if testing fails...determine reason for irregular data, verify equipment accuracy, review test techniques, correct any problems and utilize statistical method.
- summarize test information in a technical report, using Excel and WORD, outlining testing process and outcome
- perform failure analysis with written summaries

Qualifications
* AAS Degree required, Bachelor's preferred
* 0-2 years of relevant experience with a focus in electronics
* Hand Soldering certificate or previous soldering experience
* Experience working with 480-600V products - must be comfortable working with high voltages
* Understanding of series/parallel circuits and power calculations
* Understanding of schematics and DC circuitry
* Knowledge of interconnect connector assemblies and automotive hybrid-electric high voltage/current connector assemblies
* Experience in electrical, environmental, and mechanical testing
* Acquire skills in statistics and data correlation
* Solid work ethic; takes initiative to perform with limited supervision
