Mills Machinist

Job Description: JOB SUMMARY:
* Perform duties associated with manual grinder

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work from complex blueprints, sketches, specifications, and written and verbal instructions
* Perform tight tolerance CNC Milling operations on exotic hard metal alloy Aerospace components
* Perform in-process quality inspections
* Provide input as needed for improvement of tooling
* Maintain all necessary records and logs, assist in the movement of materials as required in the performance of duties or as directed
* Maintain work area in a clean safe and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
* Perform other related duties as required, directed or assigned by your manager
* Work effectively with others and be a participating team player Work Environment: Fast pace, air condition. New machines.
Clean, well lit, modern environment. Cooperative team like environment. Accountability and ownership on their own work. Qualifications: * High school graduate required; additional college experience preferred
* Minimum 5 years job related job experience required
* Highly organized and detail oriented
* Familiarity with most tools and equipment in a machine shop
* Hard metal & casting experience (Inconel, titanium, stainless)
* Needs experience setting up and running multi-axis CNC mills on hard metals, in a tight tolerance aerospace environment
* Prefer experience programming or editing programs on multi-axis CNC Mills
* Quick learner; able to thrive in fast-paced environment
* Excellent problem solving skills. Must have initiative and drive to root out problems and perform
* Ability to work without constant direction and monitor own work to ensure quality
* Must be dependable; consistent attendance/punctuality is required Performance Expectations: Performance is measured on successful quality of parts. Number of parts vary depending on parts but it's very common that one day they produce 20 parts and the next day 5 because its a different part.

Every day different part. Achieving the same or better production time levels from previous times. Additional Information: Shift times - 10 Hr Day Shift M-Th. OT on Friday and Sat. (2 Second Shift)

1st Shift:
6:00 AM -4:30 PM Mon - Thurs
6:00 - 2:30 PM - Friday


2nd shift:
2:30 PM - 10:30 PM M-Thurs
2:30 - 8 PM Fri
Saturdays (as needed) (6-noon)
