Position Summary:

Manage software quality and specialized integration testing regarding research enterprise enablement (REE) applications’ ability to interface with point of sale (POS) terminals, weigh scales, ZOOTERs, MDOT Permit Gateway (MPG), and RAD handhelds. Provide feedback on artifacts developed during the project requirements phase; perform risk analysis, develop plans for automating high impact areas, design/develop automated test scripts and perform test execution and script maintenance using specialized testing tools. Proactively monitor, identify and correct potential issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Mentor team members. Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to Kroger automation frame work standards/roadmaps and contribute to improvements
• Create, execute, analyze test results and support the Test automation scripts as per Kroger standards
• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance test processes and best practices
• Review and contribute to the development of artifacts as per agile standards
• Review unit test coverage, provide feedback, and avoid duplicating test efforts
• Identify opportunities for “Shift Quality Left” and share with the team
• Continuously analyze the Application test coverage and optimize as needed
• Report on and facilitate defects triaging sessions; contribute to the resolution process
• Participate in root-cause analysis for defects; recommend process improvements based on lessons learned
• Coordinate information gathering for quality metrics as per Kroger Technology Lean Transformation standards
• Provide test services for support activities and work with release management to assure product release quality
• Communicate timeframe status, including any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teams to ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems (IS) or a related field
• 10 years of experience testing software using similar technologies
• 5 years of experience in test automation script development and maintenance
• 5 years of experience using automation testing and risk management tools as per Kroger Technology standards
• 5 years of experience testing standard internet protocols using Virtualization
• Experience developing continuous integration (CI) for automating builds, deploying flow services using Designer WorkStation, reviewing unit test coverage and providing feedback to improve processes/procedures
• Experience in Agile lean transformation methodology
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong oral/written communication, presentation and conflict-resolution skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Experience in testing web services automation’s ability to interface with POS terminals, weigh scales, ZOOTERS, MPG services and handheld devices
