The R.N. Training Coordinator is responsible for the execution and organization of all training programs for CAREGiversSM. R.N. will oversee the training and education of our CAREGivers.  Experience in home care a plus but training experience NOT required.  If you have a desire to get into teaching and educating this is an entry level position for an experienced Home Care or Geriatric RN who would like to transition and/or learn to be an educator.  Company provides all trainer materials.      
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:                                                                              
  • Reflect the core values of the business
  • Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Create a monthly training calendar
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in the operating system
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and CAREGivers
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver Orientation
  • Evaluate and update all orientation and training materials as needed
  • Develop monthly in-service topics to meet CAREGiver and office needs
  • Develop, plan and facilitate quarterly CAREGiver Meetings
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver Training, In-services and Alzheimer's Training
  • Conduct offsite training sessions to engage and educate the community
  • Ensure Home Instead Senior Care standards are met and upheld
 
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and comply with federal and local labor and safety laws
  • Field new client inquires over the phone in a knowledgeable manner, enter information into the operating system and print out care consultation form
  • Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary
  • Conduct introductions, care consultations and quality assurance visits as deemed necessary
 
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida
  • Experience in a home care setting or geriatrics 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Must pass Level II Backrgound Screening
  • Must pass Drug Screening  
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position with be responsible for overseeing all of the functions performed by the franchise office's CAREGivers.

  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by the company
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Must be able to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, CAREGivers and the community
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have the ability to operate office equipment
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone 
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must have the availability to work evenings or weekends as required
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
  • Must have the ability to work as a part of a team
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills
