P-T Office Assistant & Dog Walker for Pet Care Biz

Sitter4Paws - Silicon Valley, an established dog walking and pet sitting service, has an immediate need for a dog and cat lover to join our team. We are specifically looking for a candidate that MUST live in or near the following locations:

- San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino

We have many requests for mid-day dog walks and pet visits (11 a.m. - 3 pm) during the week. Our next team member MUST have availability during the majority of this time frame. However, you should also have availability to take a few hours at other times during the week as well and occasionally on weekends. In addition, we are very busy during the holidays and always need extra support. Pay is $15.75 an hour to start.

You MUST meet the following criteria:

*Experience working with animals, primarily dogs and cats. Past experience working at shelters or rescues or pet sitting/dog walking on your own is highly preferred. Also very interested in speaking with candidates enrolled in vet tech, pre-vet or animal-related college programs.

*Be willing and able to physically handle dogs that may pull on leash. This is a must!

*Own a SMART PHONE and be familiar with using apps and technology.

*Own a dependable CAR with current license and insurance. Be comfortable driving to and from client homes regularly and transporting dogs in your car if going on hikes. Must be ok with taking clients anywhere from San Jose to Mountain View.

*Be available to work a variety of hours/days, including holidays and weekends. Big plus if you are avail. during the work week mid-day (11 a.m. - 3 pm). This is a great job for someone in school or if you have another part-time job.

*Flexible schedule and open availability for last minute and same day jobs.

*Be reliable, responsible and have good time management skills.

*Must be 18 or older to apply.

*We prefer bringing on team members that can commit to up to a year with us. Many of our clients prefer consistency with he walkers and sitters working with their pets. If this is you, we'd definitely like to talk! *We are an insured and bonded service, so we must do a background check.
