SUMMARY:   This position is responsible for shipping all company samples in accordance with established procedures, while meeting the customer’s requested ship date.  This position also ensures the proper storage, organization, and handling of all sample room inventory in accordance with SQF and GMP guidelines.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

 

  1. Prepares and ships all sample shipments following company procedures. Prepares product for shipping as per shipping documents; verifies the accuracy of sample orders and reports any discrepancies to customer service department; ensures that presentation of order is clean and orderly.

 

  1. Completes and forwards all internal and external shipping documents. Assists with the daily completion of tracking and lot details in SalesForce, as needed.  Provides timely and accurate email feedback to customers and co-workers.

 

  1. Assists Sample Room Coordinator as needed, and works collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. 

 

  1. Helps maintain the inventory ERP system including checking discrepancies on an as needed basis. Assists Sample Room Coordinator as needed, investigate and perform corrective action on issues that pertain to the sample room.

 

  1. Keeps work area clean following GMP guidelines.  Ensures sample room is swept and counters cleaned at the end of each workday.

 

  1. Maintains accurate documentation as related to various company procedures and guidelines such as SQF compliance and other regulatory standards.

 

  1. Follows all company safety rules while performing job duties.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two or more

years of sample processing or shipping experience preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and

memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively communicate

information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the

organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole

numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and

percent.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished

in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several

concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must be able to operate manual handtrucks.  Ability to operate

computer equipment and work without close supervision.
