JOB SUMMARY: Supervises the daily operations within the Distribution Center Merchandise & Accuracy Control Departments. Ensures controls are in place to maintain integrity of all MarMaxx merchandising, legal, and quality control philosophies. Builds effective teams through training and continuous development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITLES:
  • Responsible for supervising Associates within the Merchandise Control and Accuracy Control Departments to ensure the standards of merchandise and quality control are upheld
  • Educates our business partners on our off price business model and coordinates the quarterly Product Awareness Weeks
  • Identify and address any opportunities that could improve the way our Vendors ship merchandise
  • Review all Vendor Compliance daily to ensure we are properly recording all infractions
  • Ensure all merchandise is of the best value to our customers in terms of Brand, Fashion, Quality, and Price and meets all TJX labeling guidelines
  • Follow Best Practice for Modification/Deletion procedures and ensures proper research is conducted
  • Balances and monitors the workload throughout all areas of the building for AC’s and MC’s
  • Conducts audits of all AC associates to ensure accuracy and consistency in the department
  • Maintains AC hours within annual budget for KPI and CPU
  • Partners and assists Operations in meeting business priorities
  • Partners with LP to conduct weekly Dump Store audit and provide feedback
  • Ensure Damages/RTV’s/LPR’s are identified and processed according to established guidelines in order to drive profitable sales and gross margin
  • Conducts required store visits and provide a detailed summary to the building
Talent Development:
  • Builds effective teams through selection, education, training and ongoing development
  • Encourages staff to think beyond the needs of their own individual area to achieve the best results for the business
  • Encourage staff to create Individual Development Plans to assist with future advancement

    Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retailing, etc. or equivalent job experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership or merchandising experience
