Responsibilities

Receivers

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Must be able to unload inbound trailers using pallet jack. Place inbound labels on pallets. Separate mixed product on pallets, cover with cardboard. Use RF gun to receive product into facility. Notify a supervisor of any inventory, damaged product or safety issues. Must be able to perform various tasks as assigned by a supervisor. Must follow all Safety, GMP, and HACCP policies and procedures established in the facility.

Loaders

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Using basic reading, writing, and analytical skills, must be able to determine which product to load, Must be able to correctly process data entry instructions, and must be able to direct work flow for timely processing of product. Must utilize data collection equipment to scan and create appropriate inventory transactions. Must be able to use pallet jack to load 46 foot trailers with pallets of fresh product weighing up to 65lbs per box. Must be able to follow all SOP's relative to loading as described in the QA loading procedures.

Receiving LTOs

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for insuring that inventory is correctly put away or picked as directed by the Warehouse Management System. Operations will be conducted on the following equipment while maintaining quality standards developed by Perdue and the USDA: Turret Lift Truck, Reach Truck, Walkie Reach Truck, and Counter Balance Lift. Responsible for picking and scanning inventory utilizing a RF unit. Complete all functions as tasked by the WMS System. Must be able to follow all safety procedures required when operating a forklift within the facility. Responsible for changing lift battery and the general upkeep of the lift. Fill out the daily lift inspection sheet and notify a supervisor of any damage to a lift, facility, or product. Notify a supervisor of any discrepancies in the WMS system. Must be able to follow all safety, GMP, and HACCP policies and procedures.

Yard Jockey

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for positioning trailers at loading and receiving dock doors, pulling trailers from dock doors, starting cooling units, setting temperature on cooling units, sealing trailer doors, and parking trailers in designated parking areas. You will also perform daily inspections on jockey tractor and keep track of yard inventory on yard report, keep yard grounds clean of trash and debris, and assist with other warehouse functions as needed.

Picking LTO

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for insuring that inventory is correctly put away or picked as directed by the Warehouse Management System. Operations will be conducted on the following equipment while maintaining quality standards developed by Perdue and the USDA: Turret Lift Truck, Reach Truck, Walkie Reach Truck, and Counter Balance Lift. Responsible for picking and scanning inventory utilizing a RF unit. Complete all functions as tasked by the WMS System. Inventory LTO

This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor and is responsible for insuring that inventory is correctly put away or picked as directed by the Warehouse Management System. Operations will be conducted on the following equipment while maintaining quality standards developed by Perdue and the USDA: Turret Lift Truck, Reach Truck, Walkie Reach Truck, and Counter Balance Lift. Responsible for picking and scanning inventory utilizing a RF unit. Complete all functions as tasked by the WMS System. Must be able to follow all safety procedures required when operating a forklift within the facility. Responsible for changing lift battery and the general upkeep of the lift. Fill out the daily lift inspection sheet and notify a supervisor of any damage to a lift, facility, or product. Notify a supervisor of any discrepancies in the WMS system. Must be able to follow all safety, GMP, and HACCP policies and procedures.

Required Experience

1 year of forklift / warehouse experience

Preferred Experience

1 year of pallet jack, Lift truck operator, Loader, & Warehouse experience

Preferred Education

High School Education, GED or Equivalent

Required Qualifications

LTO's
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  3. Must have a strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year within the past 3 years
  4. Must have previous experience operating a lift truck in a warehouse environment.
  5. Must have current certification or pass the certification course established for this facility before operating any forklift.
  6. Must have ability to work as a positive team member, demonstrate a positive attitude and have a strong working knowledge of present warehouse equipment and processes.
  7. Must be able to lift 40-60lbs fairly continuously and work in a 25-30 degree environment
  8. Must be able to read and slot products from the RF monitor.
  9. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation as specified in the job description available in Human Resources.
  10. Must be able to pass a "fit test" by our medical department to work in this department.


Loader
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  3. Must have a strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year within the past 3 years
  4. Must have reading, writing, math and analytical skills.
  5. Must have, or obtain, a pallet jack license through Perdue training and testing.
  6. Must be able to work in a 25-30 degree environment.
  7. Must have ability to work as a positive team member, demonstrates a positive attitude and have a strong working knowledge of present warehouse equipment and processes.
  8. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation as specified in the job description available in Human Resources.
  9. Must be able to pass "fit test" by medical department to work in this department.


Receiver
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  3. Must have a strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year within the past 3 years
  4. Must be able to lift 40-50lbs on a continuous basis.
  5. Must be able to work in a 25-30 degree environment.
  6. Must have ability to work as a positive team member, demonstrate a positive attitude.
  7. Position requires continuous standing, bending, and movement between 2-4 pallet stations.
  8. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation as specified in the job description available in Human Resources.
  9. Must be able to pass "fit test" by medical department for work in this department.


Yard Jockey
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  3. Must have a strong work history, worked for one employer for at least 1 year within the past 3 years
  4. Previous experience driving trailers preferred.
  5. Previous experience with pallet jacks and forklifts preferred.
  6. Must have ability to work as a positive team member, demonstrate a positive attitude and have a strong working knowledge of present warehouse equipment and processes.
  7. Must be able to read and write and possess analytical skills to determine work flow and process data entry instructions.
  8. Cannot have any disciplinary warnings for safety, or other written disciplinary, within the last 6 months.
  9. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation as specified in the job description available in Human Resources.
  10. Must be able to pass "fit test" by medical department for work in this department.


Details

Internal Candidates
  • Must have at least 2 months of service with the company. If promoted or transferred by previous job bid, must have been in that position for 6 months.

  • Cannot have other written disciplinary issues.
