About this job
The Instructor position provides instruction, support, guidance, and modeling for up to 6 adults with Intellectual Disabilities. The position also requires weekly lesson plans, daily documentation, and monthly summaries. The individuals enrolled have a variety of challenges/diagnosis including retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, and various syndromes. And range in need from very severe to very mild. Some may require assistance with eating, toileting, behavior management, and general self help skills while others are very independent and just need guidance and modeling.
Requirements: Obtaining Class E license within first 30 days, completion of CPR, First Aid, MANDT (crisis intervention/prevention) and Medication Certification as well as Program specific training. Degree in Human Services or similar a field for a higher end of the pay scale.
