As a Benefits Administrator , you will be responsible providing benefits administration services including the determination of eligibility, the communication and explanation of available coverage, processing of enrollments/terminations and the resolution of claim issues.. The Benefits Administrator is also responsible for administration and coordination of other employee benefits, including: Consolidated Omnibus Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Affordable Care Act (ACA)/ Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for day to day administration of medical, dental, group life, supplemental life, LTD, vision, and STD plans, EAP, FMLA, LOA, COBRA, etc.
  • Administer the annual health enrollment to ensure successful implementation.
  • Administer health plan claims disputes.
  • Provide high level customer service to employees and their dependents answering questions and researching/resolving problems with their insurance coverage and claims.
  • Responsible for plan administration, and compliance, process, documentation, employee/manager inquiries, reporting and escalated employee issues.
  • Responsible for FMLA tracking and administration. Administers benefits and leave of absence to answer benefit questions, escalate issues, and trouble-shoot situations.
  • Administer LOA process including, tracking leave dates, and record keeping to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Ensure legal and company compliance with COBRA, FMLA, and other state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee benefit files, benefit database, and other record keeping. Ensuring the accuracy of benefit enrollments and corresponding payroll deductions.
  • Investigates and resolves questions regarding delivery and payment for services by contacting health care professionals and other service providers, benefit plan providers, and employees.

Candidates must have at minimum a High School Diploma and/ or 3-5 years of benefits administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs is required.
