JOB SUMMARY:

independently to drive division customers Service Orders, SPO's, and SKD shipments flow through the supply chain at 100% on-time delivery performance. Interprets and analyzes customer requests and capacity issues including availability of workforce, machines, time, and materials. Analyzes, develops, and monitors short-range customer sales and forecasts. Develops and maintains service schedules and coordinates all necessary processes with corresponding departments. Measures actual progress based on customer requirements and reports significant deviations. Identifies, establishes, and maintains appropriate inventory levels. Monitors supplier delivery schedules to ensure material coverage in support of service schedules. Engages and drives EC processes to support new model launch and associated programs. with support functions to ensure BaaN set up on finished goods to ensure smooth perpetual order flow through the ERP system. Engaged in driving inventory accuracy through participation in various programs including warehouse audits, cycle counts, and Physical Inventory. Performs other duties as required which may involve providing work direction and/or supervision to other staff. Supports Warehouse and Materials team as directed by leadership. After hours and weekend work may be required.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ensures level schedules based on customer requirements for Service, SPO's, and SKD, management goals and objectives, availability of materials, capacity of equipment, etc. Contends with uneven customer demand and requests and adjusts schedules accordingly.


Interprets and analyzes customer requests and capacity issues. Analyzes short-range customer sales and service forecasts and provides input for long-range forecasts. Maintains all service schedules by ensuring proper utilization of resources (machines, time, people, and materials) including recommending appropriate levels of staff and overtime. Develops all schedules within particular area of responsibility using all applicable internal and external information. Coordinates all necessary processes with Receiving, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Customer Service Departments.


Based on customer requirements, monitors and measures progress in meeting all service production forecast and schedule requirements. Reports significant deviations. Tracks metrics related to schedule attainment.


Identifies, establishes, maintains, and monitors appropriate service component part inventory levels to achieve departmental goals and objectives.


Coordinates engineering change orders, phase in of new products, and discontinuation of old products while minimizing obsolete inventory. Monitors inventory records for respective area and ensures corrective action as needed. Drives engineering change process to ensure new finished goods items are properly set up in ERP system to facilitate smooth perpetual flow of inventory. Root causes and resolves EDI errors related to customer demand and/or component parts as needed.


Works proactively with planning team to ensure to ensure material coverage in support of schedules. Makes adjustments and communicates schedule changes to both internal and external customers as needed.


Participates in continuous improvement processes, individually and with teams, and champions projects to improve cost, quality, and delivery. Researches and recommends current material control management practices and implements appropriate changes as necessary.


Serves as the PICS Department representative on new program teams and reports changes to affected work team members. May supervise and/or provide work direction to other staff.


Responsible for participation in inventory accuracy programs as assigned by business leadership. Those include; Warehouse Location Audit Program, Cycle Count Program, root cause of inventory or warehouse location inaccuracy, and physical inventories.


Makes required transactions in ERP system to support assigned job functions.


Provides backup assistance to Scheduling and Warehouse Supervision as needed to support company needs.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Demonstrated ability to independently analyze data and determine appropriate course of action.
3. Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and changing priorities.
4. Good understanding of production inventory control techniques and principles. Knowledge and experience with a formal manufacturing control system and Just-In-Time (JIT) concepts, principles, and techniques strongly preferred.
5. Demonstrated ability to utilize standard and specialized equipment used to perform job duties.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor???s degree in business or related field
2. One year experience in materials or related field; or equivalent.
3. Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
