Responsibilities:
The Facilities Technician performs basic tasks related to the maintenance and repair of office, warehouse and production spaces, including light repairs to plumbing, HVAC, and the building itself. This requires a basic understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to use hand tools effectively.
Essential Functions:
Preventive Maintenance
Ensure the reliable functioning of facilities equipment with consistent, documented preventive maintenance. Equipment includes (but not limited to):
Dock Doors & Man Doors
Forklifts & Forklift Batteries
Product Racking
Planned HVAC Maintenance & Skylight Inspections
Compactor Maintenance
Backflow Devices Inspection & Testing
Interior & Exterior Lighting
Landscaping & Building Maintenance
Fire Sprinkler Maintenance
2. Vendor Management
The Facilities mechanic is responsible for coordinating directly with 3rd party service contractors once recurring maintenance agreements have been set in place by management. Ensure work is completed per our agreements, and to schedule. The Facilities Technician is also responsible for contacting the appropriate vendor in the event of non-routine maintenance and ensuring equipment is promptly returned to service.
3. Work Order Execution
In addition to pre-scheduled work, the Facilities Technician completes work orders as requested by all departments within the Company. Under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Mechanic receives and manages tasks via a ticketing system, and accepts, prioritizes and communicates work status directly with requestors.

Requirements
Familiar with CGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
Familiarity with basic productivity applications and basic computer literacy
Consistently good attendance and punctuality
Well organized and pay close attention to detail
Forklift Certified or has the ability to become forklift certified
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Respond quickly and effectively to changes
Safe and effective use of hand and power tools
some experience in janitorial, construction, building maintenance or related trades is preferred
ability to read and comprehend and execute written instructions and documentation forms
Familiarity with basic productivity applications and basic computer literacy
