FRONT DESK ASSOSIATE - Part-time

Job Description:

• Possess a positive communication style (be naturally happy, energetic & confident behind the front desk)
• Able to handle all types of customer personalities and business situations in a fluid-working environment with strength and ease.
• Speak English fluently and have good writing skills
• Ability to work with others on a high performance team
• Possess exceptional organizational skills

Duties:

• Welcome customers in an upbeat and friendly manner
• Checking in large groups (often youth) and help get them understand where they go to harness or play areas
• Introduce new customers to our facility and what we have to offer
• Promote and see membership
• Sell snacks and drinks to customers
• Answer and address customer issues, inquiries and concerns with excellent attention to detail whether it is in person or by phone or email
• Perform light cleaning duties of the facilities lobby and washrooms throughout the shift
• Work closely with the Supervisors and Managers to ensure a high quality of customer service.
• Assist in the Climbing Wall when required and to maintain climbing wall safety practices such as:
• Harness and Unharness climbers (youth)
• Assist in clipping and un-clipping climbers
• Ensure Climbing is conducted in a safe and appropriate manner
• To comply with all quality systems and assist in the introduction of of any new quality system procedures as required.
• Must be able to work weekends
• Current Police Record Check is required

Qualifications:

• Preferably has worked with youth and families
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A passion for climbing and recreation
• Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
• Safety conscious, enjoy working with youth, self directed and reliable
• Must be able to work during the weekday/evenings as well as the weekends day/evenings.
