What youwill do:

TheCylinder Loader & Warehouse Associate is responsiblefor loading and unloading of high-pressure and liquid cylinders on / off trucksin compliance with federal, state, local regulations. The Loader &Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for meeting all safety standardsin the loading and unloading of cylinder gases per Airgas procedures.. Theassociate will additionally be responsible for the picking, packing anddistribution of materials and supplies for delivery via outside carriers orlocal Airgas drivers to the customer's location.

Yourresponsibilities:

* Inspects cylinders prior to filling,following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, anddistributor standards.

* Understands hazards of various gases;size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels andthe color-coding of tanks.

* Complies with all government andcompany standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylindergases.

* Safely operates a forklift, pallet jackand other warehouse/material-handling equipment.

* Loads cylinderson/off vehicles, using hand truckor chain hoist, and records type and quantity of cylinders.

* Loads/unloadscylinders on/off pallets; ensuring they are strapped in.

* Examines returnedcylinders for surface defects, dents, cracks, burns and performs minormaintenance of equipment and inspection of cylinders prior to filling.

* Rolls cylinders todesignated work area using appropriate, safe work method or equipment

* Segregates out testcylinders and any defective cylinders.

* Removes old labels,cleans cylinders.

* Stocks, stores, labels, picks/packs and distributesmaterials and supplies.

* Validates delivery of materials and provides aphysical receipt.

* Performs periodic inventory of warehouse materialsas directed.

* Organizes and controls site warehouse inventorieditems.

* Reviews incoming and outgoing product invoices perCompany policy.

* Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, or otherwarehouse/material handling equipment.

* Follows appropriate Company policies and procedures(SOPs) as they relate to distribution, safety, etc.

* Performs general site housekeeping duties asrequired and maintains a neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.

What youwill need:

* HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Minimum of two years of prior experience inwarehouse operations and/or at least one year in a manufacturing operation. Warehouse Maintenance, Filling, or loadingexperience preferred.

* Background knowledge in gas, welding and safetysupply industry or chemical industry preferred.

* Prior experience safely operating a forkliftpreferred.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to read and comprehend material safety datasheets.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability towork with a wide variety of people with different personalities andbackgrounds. Excellent customer serviceskills.

* Ability to work independently and under somepressure to meet deadlines.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to perform math functions and analysis asneeded by the position.

* Basic computer skills to include knowledge ofMicrosoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

* Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and allrelated rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position'sresponsibilities.
