ResponsibilitiesThis position requires 1 year Internship in a hospital clinical laboratory and a Bachelor's degree. Prefer major in a biological science. Candidates must have a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist License issued by California State Department of Public Health. The incumbent will perform chemical, microscopic, and/or bacteriologic tests and verifies results for use in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Demonstrates competency in patient testing for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy San Juan Medical Center and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Internship in a hospital clinical laboratory. 1 year Demonstrated knowledge of modern clinical laboratory techniques and procedures, aseptic technique and proper safe technique in the handling of hazardous materials and biological specimens. Ability to trouble-shoot procedures and instrumentation and problem-solve effectively.
