ASIC Verification - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is trageting an engineer who will be repsonsible for ASIC chip verification for a major client in the Twin Cities area. This position is moving quickly, please apply and an Aerotek recruiter will reach out.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing interfaces and utilities based upon design specifications
• Writing ASIC validation test diagnostics (coding software for tests)
• Collaborating with Logic Design Engineers for ASIC debugging
• Utilizing Verilog simulators, low level emulators, and FPGA environments

Key Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience including experience with SystemVerilog designed ASICs
• Ability to read and understand Verilog based ASIC designs
• Writing ASIC diagnostics for networks in a HPC environment
• Experience with Linux software development: GNU toolchain, sockets, UNIX cli, open source libraries and tools. Sysadmin experience a plus.
• Strong scripting, assembly code, C and C++ development skills required
• Code quality minded: experience with QA processes, unit testing, integration testing, and source code control systems (CVS/SVN/git)
• Experience using simulation environments for software testing
• Experience with low level chip interfaces: JTAG, i2c, MMRs and CSRs
• Familiar with embedded Linux development: cross-compiling, Linux device drivers, developing with limited resources in mind
• Ability to work well in a distributed team environment with lively debate
