Position: Avionics Technician
Pay Rate: $28.50 per hour
Per Diem: $123 per day, up to 5 days a week
Seeking Avionics Technicians for a Government Contract in Lake Charles, LA working on Wide Body Fixed Wing Aircraft.
Job Description
- Candidate shall inspect, maintain, repair, align, calibrate, and demonstrate knowledge of operation and functional test of systems and system equipment related to avionics on the JSTARS (707) aircraft including knowledge and use of applicable publications.
- Candidate must be familiar with Radar, Displays, Mission Computer, IFF, VHF/UHF/HF radios, data links, 1553B data busses, navigation systems, voice and data encryption devices, and overall system interfaces.
- Post-flight incoming and pre-flight outgoing avionics checks.
- Install and troubleshoot avionics/electrical discrepancies and O/A squawks.
- Operate and repair various pneumatic, hydraulic, and aerial refueling systems.
Qualifications
- 10 years of Avionics Experience
- 5 yrs or more in a MRO environment
- Must have copies of all certs/licenses, ie; Gen Fam and A&P-preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work any shift, and be prepared to work 5-7 days per week
